This 3 bedroom detached house is located in East Keilor, about 17km from Melbourne. The house uses gas and electricity. The main appliances using electricity are the split system air conditioners, washing machine and dishwasher. The 3 kW system installed generates enough electricity to add a small credit to their bill each quarter.
We consider ourselves reasonably environmentally conscious, but at the same time are angered about the constant rise in energy prices. We felt solar was they only way to protect ourselves against future electricity costs. Nu Energy gave us a clear projection of how the solar would perform and the benefits that came with it.
